
Deposit Payment
All applicants are required to pay a deposit to confirm their place at UoSM. The deposit is used for tuition fee payment, and is not refundable should a student decide not to pursue admission, regardless whether the student qualifies for any financial incentive or scholarship at UoSM.
The deposit amount is stated below:

University of Southampton Malaysia accepts International Payments through Flywire which allows you to pay securely from your home country via several payment options. Flywire allows you to track your payment online throughout the transfer process via tracking links sent by email or by creating a Flywire account. You will also be notified by email (and SMS, if subscribed) when the payment is received by University of Southampton Malaysia.
Refund Policy
It is UoSM’s policy to issue refunds (excluding initial deposits) where appropriate to students who withdraw or are suspended from their respective programme. The refund amount will depend on the timing of the withdrawal and the student’s programme of study. Our policies for the calculation of fee liability/refunds for undergraduate and postgraduate tuition fees are set out below.

Overpayments / Overcharges
If you have overpaid or there has been any evidence of an overcharge, kindly write in to feesusmc@soton.ac.uk or contact the student office. This will be refunded to you in full, if confirmed to you in writing by UoSM.
Tuition Fee Deposit
This will only be refunded to you if you do not meet the conditions of your offer. You may choose to offset the deposit with your tuition fee for as long as you continue to study with UoSM. However, if you wish to withdraw before the completion of the programme, your deposit will be forfeited.
Cancellation before the start of the programme
If within 14 days of accepting your offer, you decide to cancel your acceptance to study with us and have paid your tuition fees, you will be entitled to a full refund of your fees excluding your deposit. Please note that this only applies if you submit your intention to cancel in writing to the student office before the start of the programme.
Foundation year fee refunds
The amount of fees refunded to you will be determined by the timing of your withdrawal. Please refer to the table below.
