University of Southampton Malaysia emerged as Champions at the MalayaMakerthon event

🎉We're thrilled to announce that the University of Southampton Malaysia emerged as Champions at the MalayaMakerthon event held on 10-12 March 2023!🏆

Our team of Liew Shi Bing, Lim Eu Jin, Tan Yi Hong & Jonathan Foo Hou Yin, guided by our esteemed mentors, Dr. Grace Chai Mei Ting, Dr. Ahmad Syahrin, Dr. Azam Ahmad Bakir & Dr. Heng Wei Wei, participated in a sprint-like event that focused on product and software development.

With each team consisting of 3-4 members, the team had to create a functional prototype revolving around the theme set by the committee of Malaya Makerthon 2023, all within a set time limit.

This event proved to be a great platform to promote creative thinking, critical skills, and a curious mindset, especially among varsity students.

We're incredibly proud of our team's achievement and grateful for the opportunities this event has provided. Thank you to the committee for organizing such a fantastic event and congratulations to all the participants!
