ICE 2025
Achievements

The Industry and Community Engagement Programme 2025/26 (ICE 3.0) came to a meaningful close with a vibrant closing ceremony held on 3 October 2025, marking the culmination of nearly two weeks of collaboration, creativity, and community-driven impact.

From 18 to 26 September, students from the University of Southampton Malaysia embarked on a journey that went far beyond the classroom. Through partnerships with industry experts and community organisations, they worked on projects designed to solve real-world challenges — from sustainability initiatives and digital transformation to community development efforts.

Throughout the programme, students had the chance to experience what it means to apply academic knowledge to practical, purpose-driven work. Many described ICE 3.0 as an eye-opening opportunity to learn directly from professionals, understand industry expectations, and contribute meaningfully to society.

The closing ceremony celebrated not only the outcomes of these projects but also the teamwork, resilience, and innovation that students demonstrated throughout the experience. Representatives from partner organisations joined the event to acknowledge the students’ efforts and share insights on how such collaborations create lasting value for both academia and industry.

As the curtains fall on ICE 3.0, the spirit of collaboration remains strong. The programme continues to embody the University’s commitment to experiential learning, community engagement, and real-world impact — empowering students to not only learn, but to lead with purpose.

Here’s to the next chapter of innovation, partnership, and growth through the Industry and Community Engagement Programme.
