On 26 October 2024, the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) proudly participated in the prestigious Speak Out for Engineering (SOfE) Southeast Asia Region competition, held at Sampoerna University in Indonesia. This highly regarded event brought together engineering talent from across the region, highlighting the power of effective communication in advancing technical knowledge.
For UoSM, the event was especially significant as Nilavarasen Subramaniam represented Malaysia on the Southeast Asian stage. After securing a remarkable victory at the national level, Nilavarasen’s journey to the regional competition showcased his exceptional skills, unwavering dedication, and passion for engineering innovation.
The competition featured talented participants from Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia, each delivering compelling presentations that underscored the depth of expertise and creativity in the region.
