On 13 November 2024, the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) hosted a vibrant Game Expo, where the extraordinary talent of students from the COMP 3218 Game Design and Development course was put on full display. This exciting event brought together the creative works of UoSM's Computer Science students, demonstrating the incredible strides they’ve made in the dynamic field of game design.

Guided by the expertise of Dr. Najib and Dr. Zeeshan, the students presented a variety of innovative game projects, each showcasing their technical proficiency and artistic vision. From immersive virtual worlds to cutting-edge gameplay mechanics, it was clear that these budding game developers had poured their passion and knowledge into every project.

The event was further elevated by the presence of Professor Michael Butler, who attended as a special guest to witness the students’ hard work firsthand. Professor Butler’s encouragement and feedback offered invaluable insights, reinforcing the importance of creativity and critical thinking in the development process.

The Game Expo served not only as a platform for students to exhibit their skills but also as an inspiring reminder of the high standards UoSM sets in fostering the next generation of tech innovators. With each student project reflecting a unique blend of design, technology, and storytelling, the event was a true testament to the university’s commitment to nurturing talent and excellence.

Congratulations to all the students for their impressive achievements, and a big thank you to Dr. Najib, Dr. Zeeshan, and Professor Michael Butler for their unwavering support. We look forward to seeing where the talents showcased at this event will take these future game developers.
