The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) On Campus chapter at the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) successfully convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2024/2025 academic year on 17 April 2025. The event marked an important milestone in the chapter’s journey, bringing together current members, past committee leaders, and university staff to reflect on the year’s accomplishments, celebrate student contributions, and formally introduce the incoming executive committee.
The AGM served as a meaningful opportunity to review the chapter’s progress over the past term. Under the leadership of the outgoing committee, the IET On Campus chapter delivered a wide array of initiatives that supported the professional development of its members. These included technical workshops, industry engagement sessions, networking opportunities, and collaborative events with peers and professionals across Malaysia. The committee’s dedication was instrumental in enhancing the visibility and impact of the IET On Campus programme at UoSM, and their efforts were warmly acknowledged during the proceedings.
A highlight of the evening was the official handover ceremony, which saw the introduction of the newly elected committee members for the 2024/2025 term. These student leaders will carry forward the vision of the IET community on campus, continuing to create enriching experiences that bridge the gap between academia and industry.
