Fast Local Transient Solution for a Field Problem Using Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation

The conventional way to solve a field problem (example: temperature) numerically is by using established software, where the whole domain/field is solved throughout. While it gives the ‘full solution’ of the problem, sometimes we are only interested in the solution of certain locations or nodes; thus, solving the whole domain/field becomes unnecessary and could be time/resource consuming. Asymptotic waveform evaluation can be used to obtain a fast, local, and transient solution by applying the Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation method to the field problem.
