Congratulations to our BSc in Computer Science, University of Southampton, Malaysia (UoSM) graduates! Our first cohort of students have successfully graduated with the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science on the 20th of July 2024.
The BSc in Computer Science programme running at UoSM is the same programme as the BSc in Computer Science running at our parent campus, University of Southampton, UK, with the same modules, syllabi and learning outcomes. As such, all students receive the same globally recognised degree from the University of Southampton. The BSc in Computer Science is fully accredited by the MQA for delivery in Malaysia. At the recent accreditation review, British Computer Society (BCS) and the Institution of Engineering Technology (IET) confirmed the high quality and equivalence of the BSc Computer Science degree that is taught at both University campuses.
Our excellent student-staff ratio has ensured that our graduates received continual academic support from the lecturers which aided in their success. Our graduates have also organised, and took part in, workshops and competitions to apply their knowledge in Computer Science areas such as Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Game Design, and participated in international activities and competitions with guidance from our academic team. Alongside our academic team, they committedly upheld our university values related to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Additionally, our graduates had opportunities to engage with Professors from the University of Southampton, UK and industry experts through guest lectures and project presentations.
To all our graduates, we wish you boundless success in your future endeavours. As proud members of our alumni network, you carry the torch of knowledge and innovation—share it with the world and leave an indelible mark wherever you go! To our current students, continue to reach for the stars and strive for excellence in all that you do.
