- Analyse the environmental and societal impact of Alcon’s business operations.
The industry visit began with an opening speech by Dr. James Govindasamy, General Manager/Site Head, who provided an overview of the company’s history, organisational structure, product portfolio, and achievements. Following this, under the guidance of Mohd Khairudin Mohd Umar (Senior Molding Production Manager) and Arunesh Krishnan (Principal Engineer), students were taken on a tour of the factory. They observed key processes involved in the manufacturing of contact lenses, including molding and quality inspection. The students actively engaged with the Alcon team, asking insightful questions throughout the tour.
