Project Abstract

The ageing population in Malaysia is expected to reach 7.3% of the national population in 2023. The need for elderly care has increased significantly in the last ten years. With intelligent detection and monitoring, timely medical help can be ensured. Throughout the last decade, various systems were developed to detect falls accurately and notify caregivers timely. This project focuses on developing fall detection systems using artificial intelligence techniques such as deep learning to proactively detect the condition of a person under care.
